We take safeguarding incredibly seriously.
As an association we have a robust reporting procedure in place, as well as various safeguarding and child protection policies at association level. It’s really important BMABA registered clubs take this responsibility seriously too, and we’ll always be working with our instructors and clubs to enforce the best possible standards.
As a BMABA student, you can be assured that should there be a concern about a BMABA licensed instructor or club, it will be dealt with effectively and promptly, with the utmost confidentiality (where possible). We employ the services of a superb third party safeguarding body to ensure we always run queries or concerns through a non-involved party, to make sure no bias can affect the best possible action.
As a student, you can raise a confidential support ticket with our Student Liaison Service if you have any concerns you wish to share with us. We also have specific guidance on Safeguarding Concerns and guidance on reporting a BMABA club.
Do not fail to take action if you have a safeguarding concern about a child or a vulnerable adult. You must take action.
If you do not feel your club has the appropriate safeguarding avenues available, please raise your concerns with our association. Please talk with your instructor to find out what steps they take to keep you and your fellow students safe.
